MaplesFS Named Institutional Investor Tech 50 Firm Three Years in a Row
MaplesFS and its Chief Information Officer, Tyler Kim, have been named to Institutional Investor's 2014 Tech 50 list. This is the third consecutive year that MaplesFS has earned a spot on the prestigious list, which highlights firms and individuals who lead the financial services industry in technology achievement and innovation.
Institutional Investor recognised MaplesFS for its “broadening business portfolio that requires the flexibility, control and reliability of in-house technology.”
Examples of recent advancements include the insourcing of technology elements previously provided by external vendors such as infrastructure hosting for core Maples Fund Services systems and the acquisition of source code for the core system of Maples Fiduciary.
Commitment to technology-enabled services has led to growth in new and existing clients, including the recently onboarded US$1 billion Texas Tech University System endowment.
Specifically noted were MaplesFS’ proprietary consolidated risk and transparency reporting capabilities and fund compliance support to help clients address new regulatory reporting requirements in Europe and the US.
"As a firm we remain focused on the infusion of technology into our core product offering,” Kim said. “Clients recognise the importance that technology plays in managing information effectively. Their needs drive our technology strategy, which over the years has evolved considerably. By challenging ourselves to adapt to new market needs year after year, we will continue to be able to add unique value to our clients and the industry.”
