Hugh is Global Head of Maples Fiduciary and is based in the Singapore office. Having worked in banking and fiduciary services for over 25 years, Hugh has extensive experience of a wide range of financial products and offshore financing vehicles. He has been involved in the closing and subsequent administration of numerous offshore structures including securitisations, CLO’s, trusts, hedge funds, asset finance and private equity funds.
Hugh joined Maples Fiduciary in 1999 and moved to Singapore in 2013. From 2011 to 2013, he was located in our Cayman office where he was responsible for Maples Fiduciary in Cayman and the Middle East. For two years from 2009, Hugh was located in Hong Kong overseeing MaplesFS in Asia and the Middle East. Prior to joining MaplesFS in 1999, he had worked for Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, United Bank of Kuwait, Hill Samuel Bank and Chemical Bank in London in risk management, audit and credit roles.
